For the price and year range I'd say a ls1 camaro (98-02). Biggest problem with newers cars is that they are heavy. Buy a cheap camaro and build up the

ls1, it will make a ton of hp. Do it yourself and save a ton. Low 11's, high 10's, no problem.

Err you know the top model EVO can do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds? Those aren't rice at all. A ricer is only a ricer when it's a car with horrible exterior mods and/or customized to looks faster than it really is.

Slow as shit. If I were the OP, I would say a Mustang is probably the best easiest solution, hence why thats what everyone else does. My girlfriends cousin just sold his 94 Cobra that ran mid 10s, and could get the front tires off the ground on street tires on regular roads for 7500 bucks. Obviously he spent more on it to get it that fast, but still, it was sick.

good suggestions guys. Im still gonna search a few things out , but it seems like a mustang or camaro would be the cheapest way to go , and still be able to get alot of performance out of them without spending a fortune.. the rx7 is on my mind as well and even tho they are not the fastest cars around , i really like the G35s.. 350s are nice to , but seem expensive

you can find used 1998 c5 corvettes for around 10k. my car does 13.1 in the 1/4 mile with very simple bolt ons

How much are motor swaps.. I have no Idea about imports.. so Im looking at this 99 eclipse gsx.. Rice I know but its in perfect shape and doesnt look bad at all.. Also looking at a 200 camaro ss, so how much are crate motors for them.. around 500 hp?
