Honestly I would get 1 10W3 since you plan to upgrade the amp in the future then you can also get a second sub.

Or get 2 12W3's and run them off the amp you have and get a better amp later.

if he buys your two 12W0's then he can use his 250 watt amp, then get another amp later and another two 12W0's. way more cone area than two 10W3's.

Some people use there cars to hold things other than subwoofers. Yea he "could" get 4 12's if he does not mind having NO space. He could also get 2 12W3 V2's and buy 2 more later and a new amp for a total of 4 and have better SQ.

Also you can get 2 ohm 12W3's which shoudl double the wattage output of the amp so you could run maybe 250 watts to each sub...Unless your amp is 250 watts max bridged.

why would he be looking at a sub that can handle 250 watts if his amp is capable of delivering 500 watts?

I'd get the 2 W0s. I've owned a W3 and it isnot worth the $$. I've heard both many times and the W0 IMHO sounds as good or better than the W3 and costs less. You get more cone area with the 2 twevles with equal SQ. If you want a solid sub and dont have alot of money, IMHO get a Dayton Audio DVC from partsexpress.com. Almost identical to the Adire Shiva but works in smaller boxes. I replaced my W3 with one and it handed the W3 it's *** in just about every catagory. SQ, output, deepness and can take 600wRMS. And it's only 119 with a 5 year warrenty.

12 W3V2, Installed two in my Gf's car, and they sound great.
