i have 2 rca outputs. only ones going to my amp right now. im using the rear one for my subs

This is where you can set the Parametric part of the EQ. You're on the center frequency for the bass frequencies. If you press left or right you'll adjust what the center frequency is for the bass level. If you press up or down it will adjust the Q or how much around the center frequency it adjusts. If you press the audio button again and again you'll cycle between the bass, midrange, and treble frequencies. Most Pioneer head units have had this adjustment for quite awhile.

well the newer ones i think say it on there, however, being a long time pioneer user, i can tell by the set of frequencies you're seeing on the screen....

the defaults are 80, 1K, and 10K for the bass, midrange, and treble respectively

well, it would depend on your setup and personal tastes...... i'd say just play with the settings and see if you can get a curve that sounds better.....

depending on how far you adjust it it could make a tremendous sound difference...... also depends on the speakers too....... U sure aren't gonna hurt it any by adjusting it.........

It's blatantly displaying the frequency. Do you not know what different frequencies sound like?

Give that link a read before changing any of the EQ settings. Read the link though and don't just scan it as it's very helpful.

just play some music at a moderate volume and go to town on those settings. if you listen, you should notice a big difference in sound quality. its not something you just raise all the way and it sounds good.
