But its also not healthy to let your subs play frequencies above a certain point because they were not meant to play them. So i always took it that you set it so it doesn't go above that point, which differs with the size of subwoofer.that is bad info i'm afraid. that setting depends on a lot of different factors. it depends on the box, the sub, personal taste etc.
depends on the sub.....some subs play up to like 500htz or soBut its also not healthy to let your subs play frequencies above a certain point because they were not meant to play them. So i always took it that you set it so it doesn't go above that point, which differs with the size of subwoofer.
Like I said though, this is just what I was told from a reliable source.
cram it in soft, watch some woofer pron, then struggle to pull it out. anyone that's ever seen dogs bang knows how they seem to enjoy it.if only my cack could fit in those pole vents
My 2 12" Polk SR124-DVC subwoofers are suppose to play from 20-200. So I could set them to 200hz with no negative effect.depends on the sub.....some subs play up to like 500htz or so
No, I sit at the computer 24/7 whacking off to gay porn smart guy...no he seems like the dude that just sits on the computer 24/7 and wacks off to his car audio
except maybe to your ears...you might not like the sounds it produces in the higher rangeMy 2 12" Polk SR124-DVC subwoofers are suppose to play from 20-200. So I could set them to 200hz with no negative effect.
Alright. Thanks for clearing that up for me. One more thing, say I have my frequency set from 20-80, what should I set my center to be, 50 or leave it at 40?except maybe to your ears...you might not like the sounds it produces in the higher range
wrong. knobs work in different ways. some control gain. some control bass boost. some control crossover point.Guys! Stop arguing. You didn't have to read his first post to figure out what he was asking! Try looking at the title "what does the frequency knob do?" Wow, that was easy.
Alright. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Um...Lets see here. There is usually a knob that says Gain above it, one that says bass boost above it, and one that says FREQUENCY above it. I wonder which one he could be talking about. I mean, Frequency, gain, and bass boost are so easily mixed up.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Its just all I can do to keep from confusing frequency and gain all the time. They are just so much alike. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Whatever you say captain. I must live under a rock because I've never seen knobs that say "frequency gain"or "frequency bass boost".wrong. knobs work in different ways. some control gain. some control bass boost. some control crossover point.
you idiot. people mis-state what they have all the time. trying to clarify exactly what he has shouldn't be a problem with you, you gullable moron. killing yourself would be a benefit to human kind.Um...Lets see here.
