I looked at my oem dash speakers in my subaru, theyre little 3 inch mids/tweeters made of paper and they have a capacitor wired in 3.3uf 25v(thats what it says on it). Speaker says 6ohm impedance. Im assuming its a high pass filter, can someone tell me what its filtering out? Im just curious , im used to having filters in the headunit i dont know much about this oldschool stuff

It should be filtering out the lower frequencies to keep the speaker from damage/blowing
