Don't bash me, but I got a killer deal on 100sqft of Fat mat deadner. Called up there and told them about my situation and I got the bulk pack for 115 smacks shipped! Hey if I got to double up, so be it. I wanted the Rammat, but comes to over 130 for 62.5sqft, which I don't know if it would be enough. Plus they were real cool on the phone at fat mat, which always helps.

I have some SS and BXT that I am going to be using on the same install. Fortunately I was able to buy some SS from someone who bought too much. No doubt it is good stuff. Have not applied any of the BXT yet.

You're gonna need to triple it up... Its about the same thickness of eDead... and I had to triple it up on my trunk lid.

Shit, how much sqft did you go through with that?

I ordered 100sqft myself and wanted to at least do the front doors and the trunk. I know where most of my car rattles, so will add to that.

Oh shit yeah. Heat it up like a mofo with a hair dryer or heat gun. Makes it nice and easy to work with.

We are talking about butyl rubber based deadener with aluminum foil backing. Heating is not necessary, nor will it be real effective. The asphalt based stuff was what you wanted/needed to heat in order to get it to conform to shapes well.

No, butyl based stuff benefits from heat as well. The hotter it is, the softer it gets, making it easier to work with.
