What can I use to hide my sub & amps?

I have a 95 F250 SuperCab. I took the rear seat out, and am building a storage area + sub box/amp rack into the super cab area. My idea was to be able to cover up the amp rack area and the sub box with something that wouldn't get in the way, would protect the sub a little bit (this is a work truck first and foremost) but allow things to work properly.

I think i can carpet over the sub box section without causing a problem, but I don't want to risk overheating the amps (2), which are a RF Punch 400.4, and a PPI 2600D1..i think that's right on the PPI.

The sub box is nothing special, just a cheap newish RE-SRX-12 in a 1.6 ported, but I'm obviously designing this thing to be able to upgrade the sub and box without affecting the storage partitions. (you can see I have a lot more room left for way more box).

I'd like to be able to stretch carpet over the amp opening too, keeping junk from being able to roll under there, any ideas? Not sure the carpeting will breath well enough. There will be a support brace on the far side of the amp mount to support the bottom of the storage unit. Plus a front wall from side to side.

Hardware cloth? Have to say, i've never heard of that before. Care to shed some light in what it is?

I had thought about grill cloth but I'm worried it would get beat up and torn rather easily.
