What I'm working with is 3 Kenwood KFC-W3009. Links for specs are below:

I'm thinking a 38 X 20 X 20 box could fit. But is that enough for the 3? I'd also like individual chambers if possible.

I've never built a box before and highly doubt I have the tools to build one. I'll need some advise on what tools I'll absolutely need. As well as some box designs. I tried using WinISD and it somewhat confused me. Some guidance there would be nice too. I'm looking for ported, likely a labyrinth style port and SPL from these lil guys.

FWIW, these guys do pound hard. We currently have 2 in a sealed box, 4 kept cutting the amp (Kenwood amp(old), not sure the model, it a lil beast though). My goal is more SPL with less power to avoid any cutoff. Haven't given the amp a go with 3. This was also a budget build. No more than 200 invested so far.

Did a little googling and I think I found the amp. Here are the crutchfield spec:

I'm not too concerned with changing the amp ATM. Just getting a good box built.

Its old, so don't hate on me too much with the audio, but hopefully it will clear up some winisd issues for you. Just follow step by step.

Just finished watching/listening, I also subscribed to your page //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. One question I have after watching this is that I'm wanting to put these in individual chambers. So should I do this as if I was building 3 separate boxes?

EDIT: I went ahead and did it all as if I was going to build 3 boxes. But instead of having 2 sheets of MFD between chambers I'll only have 1. Looks like it should fit. Thank a lot, the video and math workout helped a ton. Now I'll be able to school my friends who think they know car audio, when I'm secretly becoming the expert //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Oh yeah, that audio was terrible. I played the video in the background at work and you kept shouting at me from time to time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rotflol.gif.b453361716769b8110ddefc85ff03cd2.gif

Does this seem about right for airport velocity? These aren't crazy 50lbs drives like the one used in the video.

Also, this ended up giving me 12 X 18.5 X 21.75 Inner dimensions for each chamber, bring me to about 39 X 20 X 23.25 for the entire box. I'll have to check the dimension in the back of the Soul personally, but I think this will fit.

It also gave me a port dimension of 12 X 2.5 X 34.77. That looks like it will give me a kerfed or "labyrinth" style port. Correct?
