What 10" sub will satisfy my needs?

I'm looking for something that has good SQ, but when I want it to, put out that low loud bass for rap songs.

go with the mofo 10. I have the twelves and they hit hard in my jeep. My jeep is more open spaced also.

Peerless XLS 10" would work. The one in the 350z pictured below was a ride http://www.innovativerides.com did. The sealed enclosure is 0.4ft³.

You could also wait for the new Rockford Fosgate P310D2S/P310D4S shallow subs. The mounting depth is listed as 3.25", but who knows on what the minimum required air space would be. My vote goes for eith an IDMAX or an IDQ from Image Dynamics. Both subs have great SQ and work well in smaller enclosures. The IDMAX will give you a bit more output than the IDQ will.
