weight lifting

no ymca near me. the only one i know of is 3 hours away. there maybe one in saginaw but that is 80 miles away. the gym is only 1 block away from my house lol. i believe it's like $20 for a 6 month membership

Hey Ice, you may want to check out the exercise routine that is used with the Abs Diet. It is unusual in that advocates a full body workout with weights nearly every session. Some cardio, but not really required or encouraged that much. The idea is that you will build muscle that will burn the calories. Of course that is nothing new in and of itself, but I had always lifted in body parts before. I found this way worked better, especially for guys who have let themselves go a bit (or more).

I lost a good bit of weight with that program before I injured my rotator cuff.

 
lol dont get discouraged though. just remember that everyone is on a different level. those huge guys are only huge because they've been doing it much longer than you have. thats what i try and tell myself when im in there with steroid junkies lol.

Yeah, and about half of them are ghey. Don't believe me, take a look at dicksmacker, or platestaker, whatever that ***'s name is. Straight men are not compulsive about their bodies. We only try to get in shape when we are scared we are headed toward a heart attack.

 
Oh, I am by no means saying that everyone who works out and watches what they eat are gay. I am just saying that those guys who are compulsive about their bodies are more likely to be gay than you would think. You know the ones, who do a set and then look at themselves in the mirror for five minutes.

lol yea i know who you're talking about. they walk around the gym trying to intimidate you. they use to get on my nerves, trying to intrude on my sets and stuff. but they dont bother me anymore, im bigger than half of them now lol. but i guess i can see where they are coming from, i mean when you are in great shape you can't help but feel really good about yourself and your body, and you kinda wanna show it off. but its kinda rediculous how some people do it.
 
well i walked over there and the gym was empty. talked to the trainer and he seemed like a nice guy. after christmas i'm gonna get a membership and go there twice a week. they only offer advice on how to use the machines basically and not weight loss advice. he told me basically do cardio, weights, cardio. he also said i should keep doing my cardio like i have since i lost a lot of weight and only strength train twice a week.

 
they also have an activity card which is 10 punches for $40. since i only plan to do it twice a week, that'll workout perfectly. the gym is sure gonna beat the hell out of wearing layers and gloves trying to lift weights

 
btw i've found that freeweights work alot better than machines. just an ideo when you do start going to the gym

i'll start with the machines since being that i'm big it's harder i would think to have good posture with free weights then the machine. prolly for each activity card, i'll switch between free weights and machine so i keep changing my routine instead of doing the same lifts constantly.
