Ok so I have my 3 cubic foot box tuned to 47hz for my 12 inch warden. I have a Soundstream XXX4000d with 3 marine deep cycles on it. All in the trunk of my 2002 4door grand prix. I am trying to figure out the best place to aim the box(its port back sub back so it will be all one way). Ive been told driver side, straight back, straight forward and every which way. I am looking for best SPL numbers and yes I have done the rez freq and thats why the box is tuned at 47hz.

Best results I've seen in a trunk has always been with the box sealed off and everything firing forward.

But that will change your peak frequency since you're changing the volume of the environment that the sub is in. It'll bump it up a little, which should allow for more port area. Shoot for ~20in^2 per ft^3.

I hope you are using interchangable ports or you are not planning on listening to it daily @ 47hz.
