i dont think the 8' 12 spoke will. mine didnt. had to tap the motor when i built this. i know everyone seen the pic but ill post again lol. and no its not forsale. its a idmax v3 motor. a sundown e8 cone, a tc coil and spider. and a pap cf cap

honestly you wont need a 3 in coil 8. lol. youll hit mechanical limits before thermal.a 2.5 would be the same way, but an overall better setup. just want to do it to do it?

Hunterw, just curious, did you ever measure the t/s parameters of the woofer?

it's all just pushing the limits i doubt a 3" coil high excursion 8" will ever be produced. there is plenty of 2.5" coils that will handle 1k rms daily why go to a 3"?

8" woofers already have low efficency, using such a hughe coil would hurt..

2.5in coil 50mm tall with a 12mm toplate using spiders DD uses would handle 1k for music.. you just not going to get sick output and useable bandwidth with an 8.. you could build a transmission line for a pair...
