want to build: 8" monster 3" coil.

I know Paps has been working on one for a minute, delay after delay and still no finished product.
Oh you dont know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Why not omit the spider altogether and be free of the limitations it poses? Think outside the box. Do a little Google research and I'm sure you could come up with the exact recipe I'm thinking of.

im going to try it with a w7 basket becouse the sdyder landing must be like 6 3/4" its streight down from the top inside basket diameter, it should give me decent excursion. but my main question that hasn't been answered in 3 threads now, will a 8" 12 spoke basket bolt up to a standard bolt patern that fits the 10/12/15/18 12 spokers?

possibly with a raised syder plateau and a 4" coil spyder glued to the cone for that extra x-max? lol

i could build a 8" sub with a 3" coil really easy!

i would use a 10" basket tig a alum plate with a 7" hole in the center where the surrond sits. now you have room for a 3" coil and 8" spiders.

if ur interested by all means hit me up i will machine all the parts and have it welded by a certified welder.

it should still be concidered a 8" by what people say because the dc sub with the bolt on ring to make it fit in box makes the basket bigger than a 10" but "people" say it still has just a 10" cone. so this 8" should still be a 8" sub.

Does it involve a bicycle inner tube, some duct tape, a toilet paper roll, half a roll of twine, and a midget? If so, we really think alike.
