walling the explorer, sub rec's?

finally going to wall the explorer i think, behind the c pillar so enough room for about 14 cubes after port displacement. going to tune in the sub 30hz region, probably between 28-29.

for subs i'm considering the following

2 21" ia wardens

2 18" tc 5400's

4 dc xl 15"

12 10" dc level 2's

open to anything else as well

only have 2, never got all 4 in at the same time.

wardens are definitely the most appealing option. but with the extra xmax on the 5400's they technically have more displacement, also the lms technology puts out a lot of motor force on the low notes. not to familiar with the warden motor.

box for both of these will be about 14 cubes with 280 sq inches of port, enough port area?

think they were designed as spl subs, but do fine for daily.

they have a fairly tight gap but reasonable to play music. also, the fs on the 21 is sub 30 hz i think with a high qts

the 5200's are a possibility. but i think they need a smaller box than what i can give them. and they wouldn't have the low output that the others would

not as strong as the 4hp's i currently have though lol. I'm just hoping they have a little more musicality and force down below 35 hz. i was reading up on how the flux is transferred through the motor and it sounds like a pretty efficient design for constant motor force. unlike say a 99z that has all the force at a target peak, but it still seems inferior to the lms technology, but 21"...
