ok i just bought a new camaro, its a 96 rs with 75,000 miles on it. im guessing the battery hasn't been replaced since the owner had bought the car. but i get bad voltage drops when i run my normal components, like the lights, defroster, ac and what not. the voltage is fine when i am driving, but when i brake at a stop light or something, it drops way down. my question is, do you think this is a battery problem, or has the altenator gone bad?

this does this in my '97 bonnivielle too, i wouldn't be suprised if we had the same alt, as long as the battery is fine and it doesn't happen while actually driving on the road, and the battery is being charged enough to start, i think i'll just wait till the alt dies for sure, then again i've noticed this in any car that has a powerful system with the rpm's under 1000.
