Hi, I am having some pretty serious voltage drop in my system. I am dropping from around 14.6v to as low as 10v...the power to my bass is being cut out at these points when it tries to hit hard, or my lights dim. My last set of woofers(MTX roadthunder series) where able to run half the RMS my new Fosgates have, and I really don't feel I am able to push them as hard as a can/want.
I am running a decent(I think) starter battery------http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/SSBG/35EXTJ/07053.oap?year=2002&make=Subaru&model=Legacy&vi=5016052&ck=Search_C0423_SSB_5016052_2657&mn=Super+Start&mc=SSB&pt=C0423&ppt=C0005
-I am running a stock alternator running 90 amp.
-I Have done a big three upgrade with 4 gauge wire as well.
-My amp is a 1200 watt(peak)/600RMS@4ohm(1200RMS@2ohm) JBL monoblock.
-2 Rockford P2's 4ohm, wired in parallel for a 2ohm final load(800wRMS combined max)
-micro farad scoche capacitor hooked up. I have a 2 farad vm audio hybrid capacitor on the way too(I know caps are controversial, but it was only 25 bucks)
-3.8 Cubic foot ported box
-My gains and Lpf are set as well as I can without an O scope.
My pocket really only allows me to get one component every paycheck, so I am wondering what I should upgrade first to mitigate voltage drop most efficiently.
