Volt Meter Questions. URGENT!!

thats were i had my voltmeter hooked up to the rear batt. then i hooked it up to the fuse box that was closer for wireing. u can find a stinger hpm voltage meter on eghey round 30 bux. they have to set to the voltage off the DMM there always off by it seems 3v when u first get them.

Yes voltage can be different at different spots.

You have a lot of options, you could even do several volt meters and monitor the whole system!

The best place to do it would be the rear batt if you have one. Dont quote me but Im pretty sure you could put it right in the power terminal of the amp with the power wire and monitor the voltage at the amp(s) as well.

Normally you could also tap and 12v constant wire

So you have to set them up to DMM settings? and did u hooked up the meter to the battery post?

Yeah true. I think im going to be doing both front and back batterys.

yep thats the one i would be using but cant right now. it has a sensitvity adj on the face behind the screen and u will find it to be off from a DMM i have a cheaper fluke but know its good readings. u will have to make a small adj nothing major. u will only need one i had the back batt hooked up at one piont then i took it and hooked it up to a constant fuse in the fuse block and worked fine. the batt prob would be ur best bet IMO
