Vehicle Electrical Upgrade

Hi everybody. Here soon, I'm going to be getting ready to fully equip my car to be ready for a sound system upgrade. I already plan on doing the Big 3 under the hood, running most of my wire in either 4 or 0 gauge, and eventually putting in a bigger battery. What other precautions can I take to keep my voltage drop as minimal as possible? For now, I probably won't be running anything about 1000w. However, it is a possibility in the future.

well i recomend 1/0 for all main power wires/grounds even though its a little over kill for 1k rms. as far as the bigger battery goes if you put a decent agm battery in the rear and keep your wet cell up front (for now) you will see a greater voltage, and eventually i would replace the under the hood battery to an agm also... for only 1k rms the stock alt should be fine with these upgrades but anything more and i would do that plus and ho alt.

Thanks to ^^. Up to almost 100 views and one reply. It can't be that hard can it? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Kinda depends on your rms and alt. After the big 3 is done anywho, my electricals stock except for a heavy duty agm up front. But i have 140amp alt
Haha, yeah, I'm not driving a RAM //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Actually, I will be until my car's ready..
