Waves Maxxbass Bass maximizer

Audiocontrol Epicenter

and i believe theres one by JL audio as well

from what ive seen they all price pretty close to the same the Waves is a little more, but is there a difference in them?

Am i wrong to think that these units would let me have my gain lower without sacrificing sound?

On another note, is this Audiocontrol unit

the equivelant for highs

The System im trying to put together is:

Resonant Egineering 12MX

RE XXX mids for my 6.5 rears

Focal Polyglass v2 for fronts

Planet Audio VX2200d

Planet Audio VX4004 or 3004 (dunno what to use for fronts and rears but know i want a matching amp)

Clarion VRX765VD or JVC KD-AVX2 (whichever produces better sound, i know one has 2v out other is 5v?)

I was thinking with a sound processor it wouldnrt matter but you guy know more then me so i thought i would ask.

First of all, why do you want to lower your gains?

Secondly, the DQX is a digital EQ/Crossover..

You might want to go to audiocontrol's site and do some reading.. Check out the owners manual on the epicenter since it explains its function quite well.. No experience with the Waves unit, sorry.. But I have used an epicenter.. Gains are set depending on the output of the amp and the load to be driven.. Yes you might be able to turn down the gains after you connect the epicenter since it pushes out a 9 volt (or is it 13 volt? it's been a while) signal to your amp.. But I'm still not exactly sure what you're trying to accomplish here..

clarity without distortion, my subs nice sounding at the moment but i should maybe one of these would give me a bit more

after a bit more research i probably will now do the whole epicenter thing, i'll just get a preamp to get my voltages up
