USPS damages sub , now what ?

Had a SX 12 come in from a member here , he sent me the reciept from shipping it showing how much it was insured for.

They didn't drop the box too bad but enough to damage the sub to the point where it doesnt work ,

now , how should i go about filing a claim with them ? what else would i need ?

you need to keep the box, and proof of payment, proof that the sub was new when it was sent to you, and proof that it is broken beyond repair(note from local shop)

actually your screwed & they will blame it on the packing

Tell the person you bought it from that they didn't pack it adequately and you want your money back.

if worst comes ot worst and the basket/motor isnt damaged send it in for a recone... try tog et whoever packed it to pay for the recone possibly?

well the motor is damaged , the backplate ? was pushed over to the side a little when it was dropped

You said ups, I hope you meant USPS. UPS breaks a lot of stuff, but this one wasn't them.

thats BS if the box shows damage, you better make those b!tches pay for it. I must admit though, as for the packing job.... yea my bad, i thought this was about ups, my fault for not reading carefully. But either way, i think its stupid, that if you pay for insurance, you should get it if your package does not arrive in the condition that it left in.

i mean it looked packaged well of course it could always be better but thats not his fault , they still dropped the ****in box
