urgent sub question

my audiopulse revo is dual 2ohm, and there is a set of +/- on each side. If I use only one set of terminals, will that still get me a 1Ohm load?

I had it wired so that i was using the positive of one side and the negative of the other but the sub wouldnt work. I then used one set and the sub worked.

no, you are wiring it using one coil that way

Sounds like you have a DVC. If that is the case, it will require the use of both coils/terminals to achieve a 1 ohm load. I generally dont recommend leaving one coil unhooked anyway, unless you know what you are doing.

you need to hook up this way to acheive a 1ohm load. speaker terminal from amp positive to left side positive on sub, run a second wire maybe 18 inches long conecting from the left positive to the right positive.

then, take the negative from the amp speaker terminal and run it to the right side negative, again another peice of wire maybe 18inches long connect both negatives together, right negative to left negative.

there is your 1ohm load.

sorry it was my mistake, i used the positive and negative from seperate terminals BUT i forgot to connect both negatives. If you are ever in doubt, wire up the sub without connecting it to the amplifier, then check the resistance with a DMM.
