Type X Pro worth the money over others?

Im thinking about buying 2 sets of Alpines Type X Pro components, and giving each right around 100rms each.

Im wondering if they would be worth the extra money over a pair of Image Dynamics CTX65CS?

Amp they will be on, an Alpine PDX-4.100.

I want them to be loud, have a loud tweeter, and sound pretty good. I havent ran anything but all pro audio in my cars in ages... Its been 3 cars since Ive ran a set of actual car audio components.

Would be going in an ext cab Silverado most likely, 2 mids in each door in a glassed pod, and the tweets glassed into the A-pillar. I would seal them up real good just for the little extra performance.

Would you spend the extra money on the Type X Pros over the IDs? I think they just look so sexy, and Ive heard the Type R components. They have the loud tweeter that some would say is harsh, but I liked the way they sound. Same with Focals.

Ive been out of the comp game for a longggg time.

they look like scanspeak drivers but there are not tho
correct, the f1 status components are scan. The type X pro tweeter is vifa, not sure about the mid, looks like a scan cone, but the thing is not a scan.

which model vifa it is? I was informed the tweets are scans
Considering the price of the set, I highly doubt it's a SS tweet. I wouldn't run the PDX. I had one, nice size and power, and it was only $270 at the Best Buy I work at. However, it always produced an annoying hiss in my tweets. I've read about the same issue over on DIYMA.com, so I sorta doubt it was my install. At $370, I'd probably get a Sundown.

Its a fucking DLS amplifier, what the hell else could I get thats "clearer"?
actually, the one you listed, the PDX-4.100, has a really high THD rating of 1%. A DLS A2 has a THD rating of 0.1%, and a Mcintosh MC has a THD rating of 0.005% (or even 0.0005%, something really low like that).

Well Im whatever whatever I do will sound better than what I run now. Bunch of 10s, 6s, and tweets on a bunch of Crunch P1800.4s.

I think I might just save the money and buy the ID CTX. I doubt either is worth double the price.

Ah! Thats not what I want to hear! I want to hear they **** so that I dont have to spend $700 on them! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
