Type X Pro worth the money over others?

Im pretty sure scan speak makes the the type x's 2. As well as the f1's. Their was a test somewere that compared the type x and another ss mid and said that they were basicly the same besides a coating that alpine used on the cone.

I have the RSD and they do not sound as live as i would like. my 6x9 in the rear out performs them. they just dont get loud and sweet when turned up.

i like the woofer size as it fits perfect but overall its simply just worth the 39 i paid for them.

They are wrong, alpine type X pro mid (and tweeter) are not scan, hey i used to think they where too. The cones look very similar, and the cones very well may be based off the same part. Scan revs are a lot more than a cone.

Exactly. Try finding a Scan woofer under $150 new. The woofers alone would run you $300+, lol. Factor in that price, tweeters, and crossovers... no way SS makes the Type-X stuff, whether it's Pro or Ref.

I dont have AA mids... I have all Eminence mids and Selenium highs in my car.
