type r portedbox in a truck...

no, if youre hearing alot of air moving, chances are that the box wasnt designd properly, and the port doesnt have enough area, so your getting port noise.

It's perfectly acceptable to have a properly built ported box running in the cab of a truck

Yeah although a decent ported box can have some slight port noise especially if you dont have a subsonic filter, you shouldnt hear air rather than bass. Was the box built and designed by someone knowledgable?

i think i agree with the above posters. i run a huge ported box in the cab of my truck and if there is any port noise i sure as hell cant hear it thats for sure.

just plug your port into win and see what the mach speed looks like

what sub do you have?
the title says type R

the sub box was made from a guy who went to school for it its just a little bit of nosie but every little thing buggs me... but i guess i havent worked my sub in or set the amp get so when i do the bass will over take the air sound.... eh??
