full coverage is around 1700 with 21st century (6 month). my supra has about 65k miles. KBB rates it at about 31 grand. When you think about it 1700 for 6 months is not bad..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

It doesn't seem as though you know a lot about turbo systems. You are right that smaller turbos have less lag. However, The goal is to maximize the size of the turbine by matching the A/R to the flow rate and cam profile of your engine. You get it right, lag would be almost non-existent. Turbos are made to make a small engine perform as if it was bigger by increasing cubic inches through compression.
Bottom line...Turbos are better than N/A any day.
N/A has a ton of advantages. Turbochargers involve a great deal of weight because of the plumbing, namly the intercooler (ever ship one of those?). The presence of lag, SMOG issues, and decreased reliability on the car. Despite your claims on having a perfectly tuned turbocharged car, 90% of the cars I've driven or seen have lag.

It takes imagination and heart to create a N/A beast. Some of the best cars in the world don't use FI like the Carrera GT for example. Formula 1 and NASCAR don't use FI, why? Because it takes away from the skill needed to produce a great engine. The Honda s2000 is the most powerful 4 cylinder engine in the world boasting 120HP per liter, they could've easily put up those numbers with a less expensive turbocharged motor, but which is more impressive? Compare that to a Subaru WRX which put's up similar numbers, but uses a ripped off version of Porsche's horizontally opposed engine combined with a turbocharger. Which requires more ingenuity, passion, and imagination? There is more to a car than big numbers. That's what seperates a good car from a great car.

The b16b was the most hp per liter its was a 1.6L with around 185hp!!

The f22 is a 2.2 L correct?

I think that actually has more to do with the sanctioning bodys as far as the CGT is concerned. Personally i think its a piece of shit though.

The regulations on nascar are there for a few reasons, one of them being that they dont want them producing more power.

The F20c does put out 120hp per litre, although i dont believe that is the most powerful engine litre for litre. But i could be wrong. Anyway they could have built a turbocharged motor but honda is known for n/a motors and has just recently developed a turbocharged motor. I'm sure there were many reasons behind the decision not to.

And Subaru did not "rip off" the boxer/flat engine from Porsche, its been around since the late 19th century and has been used by numerous automobile and airplane manufacturers.

My argument isn't about which one is "better" because they all have their advantages and disadvantages, i personally like the characteristics of a N/A motor. With that being said i chose to go with a turbo in my 240, because i could produce good power for cheap (not that turbo's are only good with a low budget in mind).

Some of the fastest cars in the world use turbocharging to do so. Bugatti Veyron, Saleen S7 (there's an N/A version and a TT version), Koenigsegg CCR, Hennessey Venom, Spyker C8, MB CL65AMG/S65AMG/SL65AMG, Bentley Continental GT, Ford GT, the list goes on and on.

Well... real men can appreciate all types of engines because that's what guys do. Forced induction, high compression, displacement, whatever... power is power and I can appreciate it all. After I make a name for myself, I'll build a car for every different method of making power. I'll see you guys on the track.

I love how this thread turned into a fi vs. na contest...haha and as far as which I prefer Iam a FI guy and always will be which is why my civic is getting a treatiment of jackson racing supercharging....I could have easly gone NA and been in it less money(motors getting built either way) but being limited to around 300whp NA I knew Id want more.....Id like around 450 or so....

before you spend anymore time talking out of your *** you might want to realize that im an f1 and wrc fan and dislike drag racing.
When was the last time you saw a turbocharged ferrari, lambo, zonda etc? no...? Shut the fuck up
thats why i hate the internet.. when people speak to me like that, I cant punch them in the face
