So far I like the DC's over the AQ's for sound quality. Much deeper richer lows that are just downright punishing. The box thats in there was 2 yrs. worth of testing with the AQ's so It's not surprising the q's proved louder in the box.
The DC's take more power longer for sure. Biggest draw back is mounting. You can't mount normally so you have to take the box apart if you have any problems.

You said the DC's were peaking at 37Hz, what did the AQ's peak at? I'm assuming mid 40's, so I could see the DC's hitting the lows better. Probably not as peaky also, so the SQ could be better.
