Thors 09 Build Log

148.3 @ 37hz:crazy: I'm gonna work my azz off the next 2 days and add a split baffle to the existing box to get these bad boys in the box!Them big azz butts cause way too much turbulence at the port opening. It's good for mild hair tricks though:p:
pics of updates made are necessary

Got alot done today!

the flapping noize is the camera mic in front of th port.

loving the subs man they are some massive lookking boi's i tell you that. i think some fine tuning an critiqueing an you will be back at that 50. but a 48 at 37hz an out of trunk is nothing to **** with.

i like how on the youtube comment the guy asked what are the specs on your setup an you comeback an said "loud" lol that was just awesome.

Looks like a pain in the *** to install. I'll stick with the audioque //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

BTW that is a hugeass screwdriver!

they liking the power better???
They take a single 5k a lil better but have proven to be too stiff for burping. I look forward to my 2nd 5k coming back.

It doesn't seems like there alot of net volume in that box now with those huge magnets.
How do they sound compared to hdc3s? what's your tuning now?
They are deeper than the hdc's but in the same box the hdc's are louder. Not surprising seeings the displacement of the aq's are .2ea. and the DC's are .4 ea. Plans for a new box are underway. Probably gonna go with a center firing aero design.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Definately dont' recommend doing an install with these by yourself. It'll kill ya!

Had to have the screwdriver to get the screws in when they were inverted.

monsters, how many inches of throw do those have?

I'm gonna say 3 but I haven't measured them.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

very nice any scores?
After all that work I hit the same dang thang:laugh: I don't claim to have that face sealed 100% //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I will be building a new box soon. Something a bit smaller so I can pull the whole box out to mount, Unmount and remount the subs If i ever need too..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

100% convinced that I lost 1db from roof deadening. I'm not removing it though. These things sound amazing:cool: Devastating Lows:laugh:
