Worst I've seen, Power and ground wires running through the fenders to the HEAD UNIT, ALL speaker wires running on top of the center console to some 6.5", in a box from Wal-Mart. The amp was sitting in the passenger seat with the worst wiring ever (splits almost grounding out the entire car.) Power and ground ran through the other fender (no inline fuses.) Speaker wires ran through the top of the rear seats to some Technic HT subs. The only good parts about it was the wiring (brand only), and the head unit. He did choose a nice head unit and wires for it. It was in an 89 Tempo or something like that. I've only seen it once, and then it broke down.

i have two ghetto stories.

the first is my best friend who a few years ago started off with a dual hu and a supposed 600 watt legacy amp and a 12" audiobahn. well that wasnt enough he then got a hold of an 8" kicker and hooked it up with the bahn. then some guy sold him a jenson version of a bazooka tube and at really low volume it sounded ok but as soon as he started to crank it up all you heard was distortion.

another friend of mine had a decent old model pioneer hu. the bad part was he had some road gear 3 1/2 two ways ran off it and when he wanted bass he would hook up a walmart brand 6 1/2 sub straight to his hu that was in a cylinder box that he called his bass cannon and it barely did anything and he would sit in on his bench seat beside him and had to ride with his arm on it cause it could roll around.

then the other day at a pawn shop i saw a two 10" old style round kickers that were missing almost all their surrounding and the rest of it was dry rotted in a dual sealed box and they expected to get 60 bucks off it.

My (poor) friends have a 1990 Corsica or something with a Old *** grey sony cd player... and right between the seats ran off of 18 gauge power wire is a Walmart VR3 200 watt amp Grounded by a black 18 ga wire to the key ... YES the KEy so it runs from the amp in floorboard to the steering colum.. and speaker wire ran from there over the seat to a hole drilled in the back deck where the wires travel to a waterlogged Plywood and white Caulk enclosure with a MTX roadthunder 10 barley mounted and ducttaped.. I have had farts that hit better notes than that.. LOL its a shame

and a truck came to the store where I work.. and I looked it to put groceries in and there was some speaker wire running out of the dash beside a stock cassette player to a 6x9 that had electrical tape wound around the basket to a piece of sticky velcro on the windshield.. I lol'd to his face... and when he drove off the speaker sorta swung back and forth like a pendulum... definately classic

OMG!! I was just watching history channel, this show on the Krakatoa Volcanoe in Indonesia in 1883.. Reportedly made the loudest sound ever recorded on earth!! The biggest explosion was said to be equal to a normal sized (whatever that is) nucular (sp?) bomb. It was heard clearly at 3000 miles away.. RECORDED 180DB 100 Miles from the blast!!
