The do's and dont''s of my first wall....it seems like something isn't right....

I've gotta get me a Cherokee. Used car lot down the road had one. I haggled and haggled, finally gave in. Went down with a fist full of dollar and salesman said he sold it minutes prior. Was even same color red his originally was.
That one in the video retired this year, no longer road worthy. Don't let the port war score fool you, it did consistent 65's legal and has more in it if you could keep the windshield from shattering.

There's another vehicle around here that does 65's with nearly identical box and port, it actually plays music well with the seats in.

Still a great body style to get loud and the straight 6 engine is really solid.

I was thinking the same thing ! I see them around here for sale all the time.

The amps are only like that temporarily, I'm going to build the rack for the batteries tomorrow.....does anyone have any idea's for a rack? And if i have any room left I would like to make one for my amps.....like staggered vertically one on top of the other

I swear to God. I'm like dam I'm about to go completely boomingtahoe on this guy.
Oh snap...learning from me huh?!

I've been laying low for awhile. Need to let things settle down. I gots lots to do around my house to so been doing that.

Spray foam is not adequate to seal the inside of your box! Wood, bondo, and fiberglass. You should be able to trim the excess foam and lay down a few layers of that 3" fiberglass weave/tape along those seems.

I'm still pondering what's with the Pella silverish stuff is?? They make windows, doors, etc.
I use it a lot at work around Windows we sometimes install. Being used for deadening here. Better than nothing?

*Love how my android phone always auto corrects windows with a capital W.

*deadening* I think you meant? I wondered the same but inside a sub enclosure isn't necessary. Oh to seal up the air leaks. I got it now! lol I'm kidding OP...

Dammit man! I've had to edit every post today. Some kind of serious code bug. Major lag and I type to fast. Thought it was me and my phone, but now know otherwise. Autocorrect tries to fix it but I end up sounding like babyraper.

At least it was easy to figure out what your saying. Papermaker on the other hand...

Lol....i noticed the major lag on my phone as well.....ok hispls I wasn't sure about the foam. And i do plan on shaving the excess off tomorrow. It bugs me way to much to leave it like that ....and i knew i would get some good responses from the roofing tape lol...i was actually anxious to read them. Yes slo_ride your right! Better than nothing lmao. And because i cant afford deadner because that shi t is expensive! And i figured what the hell i might as well try it lol. If it works, that's great!....if it doesn't....i have learned something new today! Ha. Nah i was hoping it would help with deadening the sound from the tires since i took the interior out. I got a few rolls from a friend for free so I'm not losing out on anything besides the awaited humiliation! Lol. Fiberglassing the inside sounds like a plan, I enjoy Fiberglassing!

And on a side note about the cherokee... I used to have a 96 jeep grand cherokee with the inline 6, pearl white with 15" American racing rims on 31's, the interior was emaculant. Well worth the money, it was one of the most dependable vehicles I've owned. I had three 15" kicker comps in a prefab sealed box on a Kenwood 2000 watt class d amp, redtop under the hood, one 0 gauge power wire, and a 3 foot piece for the ground wire. An alpine 9886, and some alpine 6.5's on some 300 watt amp i think. Oh and stock alternator. It was pretty fuc king loud! I remember i would have to turn it down halfway through mims move it because i couldn't breathe or see anything in front of me. Never got it metered though because no shops around here had a mic besides this one in kansas city and they wouldn't let you meter unless you had something they thought was worthy enough for the meter...anyways just wanted to share that lol.

I was 20 at the time when i owned it, and i had only been into car audio for about three years prior...I'm 29 now. Never got it metered though because no shops around here had a mic besides this one in kansas city and they wouldn't let you meter unless you had something they thought was worthy enough for the meter...anyways just wanted to share that lol.
29 ? I thought you were a young pup ? I dont know why I thought it but was thinking you were 16. But I was helping a couple of other younger guys and prob mixed you up with them. Well you still are compared to me, I think I am the oldest on here 107 lol !!
