The do's and dont''s of my first wall....it seems like something isn't right....

Ok i just figured it out....with a 5 layer baffle its puts it at 25.25 deep x 36 tall x 44 wide which is 20 cu ft.and with a single layer of ply on the inside I'll be at 18.6 cu ft if i did the math right

Well that was a huge waste of time, money, and effort....I have decided to tear it down and use double layered ply all around and hopefully simplify the build like you did hispls...you made it seem so simple....bottom, sides, top, back, front baffle, done

Perfect for 2 of those 18s and a huge port. That will get loud, just be smart about how long you play full volume.

How much volume do you really think you'll gain? Why scrap the 2x;s?

I already scrapped it....I know I'll gain about 8 more cubic feet minimum, and it'll be alot easier to build since i took out all of my interior and gained quite a bit overall...I'll figure out all the dimensions when I get home and let you guys know what i come up with

Because after displacement and a 5 layer baffle with bracing would have brought it down to 18 cubes....and i want to be able to play them for long periods at a time without having to worry about frying the coils. That's another reason i want to run three so i can break up the wattage more so i don't have to wire down to 4 ohms. Cause like j said ive never had anything past 3000 watts. So I want to use every bit of it that I can

Bro. If you've torn it out already then I would stop right there. You need to come up with solid, accurate plan first. Quit trying to just throw things together inside your vehicle. Starting to my make my brain hurt.

I see it as it's better to have more than not enough. And yes slo-ride I agree 100%....well see the first I guess box that I built I thought would be ok but I was definitely wrong lol. And i've never used 2x4's to build a shell. So that was my first time, and I came to the conclusion that my car is to small to be able to use them and still have a large amount of cubic feet. So through trial and error I'm on the third design. But I do plan on thoroughly thinking this one through. And I'm going to attempt to make it in sketch up first lol. But either way, this time I also have all the interior taken out of the back this time. which gave me a few more inches that helped drastically....so with it stripped in the back my new dimensions are 44 wide then it tapers in the middle to 48, then it's 38 inches tall, 28 deep, that leaves me 10 inches in the back for my tool bag and a few other things. And 10 inches on the right side in the front above the wheel well for my four batteries. Cause I have nowhere to put them. That's the only place I could think of.

At this point ill design you a box for free. anyways good luck man. hope it works out for you.

He wants something that works, not made of what you think might work.

I wouldn't even take your design for free

My box was poorly made, but design specs were perfect and frequency was perfectly executed..
You don't got real photos of any walls u actually made

the last wall i have was in 06. that was before we use to brag and make build logs. we went to shows and competed and really didn't share much info.

i don't know what else to do i made 5 or 6 videos of my car. lol you guys are down right delusional
