tc9 15" build

heres a build log for the build up of a tc9 15" with 12 spoke basket, double spiders, 8 layer dual 2 coil. i wanted to get a good log so others who want to try their hand at reconing can use as a reference. sorry if the pics came out bad, they are from my cell phone.

heres the basket on the motor. basket is all cleaned and ready to go

lining up the coil and spiders

got my girlfriend to sew on the leads

The sewn leads

shimming the gap

used a pot and a 12 to apply pressure to the spiders

got the cone on and soldered the leads to coil

used a 15" basket and 12 to apply pressure to surround

putting on the dustcap

i put a nice thick bead of glue around the surround to make sure its on there good

its pretty fun imo and i enjoy being able to say i made that and didnt just go out and buy it

yes that is a big plus hense why now i try to build all my own boxes to the best of my abilities came out good though nice job whats the power ratings on it?

Very nice... hope to build a set some day, it would be pretty kick *** to say i built my subs

not sure on an exact power rating but it took an aq3500 with the gain set to just under clipping. id say 2000-2500 for a long period of time
