Tahoe Build?

Ah ok, so 5 channel amp is out. I'll go with a 2 channel amp for the front speakers then a 1 channel or mono amp (I guess they are the same) for the sub, unless I go with x2 12" or maybe I should go with x1 15".. erm I seriously can't decide, which is better.

didnt know there were 16" subs out there???
Look at Focal

My vote would be

Front Speakers- Pioneer REV 6.5 comps(http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-TSC160R-REV-SERIES-CAR-SPEAKER-PACKAGE-6-5-INCH_W0QQitemZ260170876124QQihZ016QQcategoryZ3292QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

I used to own PG RSDs, Ive heard Alpine comps and many more.. by far my favorite speakers are these

-Front Stage Amp- (http://www.millionbuy.com/prfap600.html)

-Sub- Mach 5 15" have someone one here build you a ported box

- Sub Amp- Hifonics mono amp go with 1200-1600 watts

Leaves plenty of money for wires install ect and it'll def impress your friends :p

:O haha I love your thinking! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif hehe I'll show his dim whitti-ness. I just need to learn more about audio stuff so I don't feel like an idiot. :\ I don't like kids who just go off and buy things and say they got this yet they don't know crap about it. So I'll get this but I'll still read more about it all. But for the sub I was looking around, I might go with a sql (if im correct), brand Fi 18" sound good? By the way my friend has a 7 year old sub which he has two and the speakers are enclosed so the cones face out. Which I was thinking of having a build with a Fi 18" enclosed. What you think?

where in ct?
Southington

Fi qs are sql if im not mistaken
Ahh ok. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Its good to keep up to date on the knowledge thrown around.

I was originally looking around at the 18" but I can't decide if its better I go with 18" or 2x 12" :\

I'm planning on building a system for my truck. Its a Tahoe roughly going for 2000-2002. Could anyone place me a build, looking for quality, don't need a big enough boom with the sub woofer to be shacking my car to the point it feels like its going to collapse. My interest in music is techno, trance, country, rock. I heard the bigger the subwoofer the less of the time it gets to push? Like with trance or techno it has multi beats of rythm but my friend told me if its like a 16" or anything it might miss some, say if theres 12 beats in the 5 secs or what ever, itll only get about 4-7 of them..
What I need,

Amp

Front Speakers x2

Rear Speakers x2

Sub Woofer x1 - x3

Sub Woofer Case

I'm planning on sticking this in the rear of back seat on floor. I might bolt the case into the frame but have two metal washers then a rubber stopper in middle to have less of the truck shacking or box rattling.

I'm still learning about systems and would like to know more, but I would like someone to help me if they have a few minutes of their time to create me a system thats cheap but has crisp audio for speakers and the sub's to have enough kick. I'm actually not looking on spending a lot but my friend told me it'll cost a lot of get what I want.. Maybe someone could help me?

(My friend got subs from my friend and they sound like crap when he puts them really high and the treble sounds so off when he plays vocal techno or trance, or other types of music, and the bass doesn't seem to catch all the thumps for the beats it needs. Speakers rattle sometimes, its such a bother sum.

You got a PM

So I figured out my space to mess around with for the back of the truck, but I don't know exactly where to get a decent plan to making the box, and whats the best box to build. I'm aiming for a 18" FI SUB, anyone help me with a box plan? buying just 1 sub. :p Also anyone have any recommendations on material to cover it with and its going to be an enclosed case.

I did some of my own research and this is what I came up with.

FS: PHOENIX GOLD 6.5" 240w (79.99)

FS AMP: Power Acoustik PS2-420 (54.99)

SUB: JBL GTO1502D (79.99 x2)

SUB AMP: Legacy: LA1488 - 2 Channel 1600W (109.99)

Total: 434.95 (* excluding shipping)
