Why have the subs firin towards the cabin, ur losing output w/out sealing it off. If ur fire forward, sealing it off is the only way to do it. If ur not willing to seal it off, fire it towards the rear.

Why haven't u triEd ported? It will give u ton more output.

I tested this theory that many of the people here seem to buy into last week. I kept everything the same, i just flipped my box around. I figured that i would at least add a few db by doing this, so i thought it was finally worth a try. After spending almost 3 hours turning it around i was disappointed. It wasn't noticeably louder.

So at least in small cars like mine, the theory of using this cabin gain to get your system louder is absolute BS.

I had my (sealed box) firing towards me, it wasn't sealed off though. Every frequency sounded good. I flipped the box to fire towards the rear. It got fairly louder, but I lost a lot of the high frequencies. It was worth the SPL to me though.
