capacitor

hello, i dont know if this is in the right section since i did not see anything for capacitors, but i was wondering if i need one. i have an 08 subaru impreza outback sport hooked up with a panasonic gps unit, and am running 2X10s. the subs together are 1000w max and 500 rms. the amp is stable at 1 ohm and is 600 rms. when i drive at night i notice the headlights dim a little bit when it hits the low beats. im not sure if it does this when on the low beams, i just notice it with the high beams. i have neon lights under my dash and they dim with the bass, but they have always done this with other subs and amps. i have 4g wire running to the amp. please help.

check your grounds. had that problem. moved the ground to a closer spot, and it was fine. but also I did the big 3 about a week later! give it a shot along with a drycell, i prefer Optima, but its up to you.

I just do not see throw an extra 30 pound on a battery in your car for a system. I mean it may be better than a cap but still. I have used caps without any problems and i suspect you could do the same.

Leaving that argument out of the question... Because a capacitor only evens out the voltage, but results in a larger drain on the batter (i.e. - he will have his battery die faster when playing the system). All he really needs to do is the big 3 with minor dimming.

It's upgrading the wires between the alternator, battery, and chassis ground.
