system dead

My entire system went dead this morning. Checked the fuse at the battery and it checks out with the dvm. Fuse on amplifier looks good along with kick panel and underhoods. I'm thinking its the HU fuse or HU bad not turning the amp on. Pulled the entire console out tonight and cannot locate the fuse for the Alpine ida-x001 HU. Alpines site guide is corrupt or something, tried several times to download/open w/ no success.

Where's the fuse for this HU?

Fuses look good for the car...no fuse on the HU..they patched directly into the harness w/o a fuse between. I have a warranty on install so I'll bring it back to the installer tomorrow after work. They may not honor the warranty since I removed the console/kicks lol but they're not going back on until I trace all the wiring to see how it's wired. No time tonight..have to get back to work at 6am tomorrow morning and need my sleep.

If the HU is deceased I'll upgrade to the x305.

i have a kenwood kdc x790 if your looking for a nice headunit.
Sounds like a good deal but I have Alpines hands-free bluetooth and imprint modules, both of which still have power. It will have to be another alpine unit for me.

Haven't looked at it again yet, worked 10 hours today with AT&T techs upgrading TX border port of entry wan circuits via remote access. My head feels like it's going to explode:crazy:. I'll have some time tomorrow after a good nights sleep...

I'll see where everything is grounded tomorrow. I know the amp is grounded really well via 0 gauge under the rear seat. Noticed it when I removed the rear seat to replace my upper ca mount. I'll check the HU as well. Thanks.

I'm looking at some pics of this HU and it definitely had an inline blade fuse on the yellow power wire from the factory. There is no fuse between the yellow power wire and harness now and you can see where it's been patched/soldered. Not sure if the installer removed, rerouted or reconfigured it but I'm not seeing a fuse there now. I'll trace everything tomorrow. It may be something simple...not sure yet.
