American Bass DX 10s are also good budget subs. I'm building a box for an older pair of the 12s. The Sundown Es will get a little louder but the ABs won't be far behind and might even sound a little better.

dx are ok.. couple peeps here say they sound good..

The Dx series is more sq oriented. In a low tuned ported box you can get a pretty flat response out of them.

I would consider doing a isobaric pairs with the blaupunkts. Double the power handling with half the apparent box size.

I know, I know. Haha. I don't hate ported, I hate the size (space they take up), especially with 12s. I know the sacrifices I make. Now.....if someone could convince me to go with a single ported 12, maybe. But it would still need to work in a smaller(ish) enclosure. But I still want to try out those Blaupunkts......

I looked at the yard sale and according to the description, everything there has some sort of issue.

"These items primarily have *functional* issues such as a coil tick, a rattle, messed up or BROKEN terminal *, broken / not glued correctly dust cap, surround or spider glue issues, rips in the surround or spiders, no dust cap, etc."

Am I missing something? Why would I want subs with problems?
