Its an install issue

Jacob never had the problem on his bench at first. He let it play longer and he saw the problem. He sent me a new amp and it was good to go. His CS is top notch for sure.

When do you get it back?
I hope it works this time, but if it doesnt film the problem.

anybody can say they tested it with no problems. im not raggin on jacob at all, dont get me wrong. but why would someone say anything wrong about their own product?

one time i had problems with an american bass 120.1 right around when that model first came out. about 3 months later, i had to send it in for repair because there was hardly any sound out of it at all. bob kept telling me that he didnt know what i did to the amp and its a very good amp blah blah blah. yes i agree but there was still an issue. turned out i waited almost 5 months to get it back due to loose rcas solder joints...

So you had the problem db-R had recognized? How long did it have to play?

I don't know what the parts problem was, but my issue was almost the same. It played fine, then fade to very little in a matter of minutes. I remember reading the voltage output. It would go from like 50volts to something very low like 3 or so. I don't exactly remember off the top of my head. I wrote the numbers down at the time but don't have them anymore.

Dude, you obviously know very little about Sundown, Jacob and what mainly what Jacob stands for as far as his product goes. 100% I believe he would say if there was a problem, I also believe he would supply the OP with a replacement if there was any sign of an issue.

If Jacob says he can't find an issue I believe it! Not to say there may not be one, but it didn't happen while he was testing it.

ill tread however i would like to. ive been around since sundown first made it big on the car audio scene. ive read the big rants about sundown cs and blah blah all that jazz. i never said anything bad about it.

and in the bold is pretty much what i was stateing, in my post. if you didnt understand it go re-read it.

I agree. Jacob has been more than helpful and has provided much better CS than any other company I have dealt with. He is in NC and this amp "repair" will have a turn around time of around a week. My local shop took 4 weeks one time because they "forgot" to get it on the truck.

OP, to bad you are not closer to me. I had a 1500 a while ago and worked great. Nothing has changed since then. It would be interesting to drop it in and see if the problem stays or goes away.

Oh, and +1 for great CS from Jacob.

I get down to bloomington every now and then. I have some friends down there that go to IU. Maybe we could work something out.

We played it for at least 15 minutes total at maximum gain and 35/35 on the HU with a power clamp on it - works perfectly for us.

Re-read your own statement, This is questioning his character! He has done more to show what character should be than any of us possibly could. I don't care how long you have been around. And the fact you have been around for so long, should be greater reason not to question his integrity.
