amp for 2 kenwood subs.

My buddy got two kenwoods kfc i think. He wants to run them 400 watts each sub. What would be a good amp for them. He prefers the namebrand stuff. Help him and me out. thanks guys. each of the subs are 4 ohms

depends on budget really. i very rarely recommend audiobahn for anything, but the a800t on ebay is a pretty good deal for 800 watts. under 150$. i bought one for a guy to run a 15 inch kicker cvr, and it actually did good power. too much for the 500 watt kicker. that one was doing 837 watts rms at 2 ohms, for under 150$. it's the only product from audiobahn that i've found to be decent.
