Subwoofer is very quiet

Turn the Subsonic all the way to the left, turn the LPF all the way up. Does that help?
Do you think if I had the amp wired up and on without a subwoofer connected would that mess it up. I also didn’t disconnect the negative from my battery when I was connecting my amp and I’m starting to think that doing that messed up the amp

I don't know... you said the other amp is quiet too right? That makes me think the head unit may be at fault. I must head off to work now.

There's a setting on that head unit for rear speaker to be set as Full Range or Subwoofer. You may not be wired this way at all, but maybe see if it's set to Full and maybe should be set for sub.

The speaker wires are correct on the sub itself but might be reversed in the inside sub terminal and outside the sub terminal to amp... Maybe

I did this once also, both rear speakers wired to my LOC but left side speaker wire to LOC was backwards and it cause my amplifier to cancel out 51-47 Hz. Drove me crazy for months, lol

Might be some confusion, so your friends enclosure is self powered and 300 RMS ? Ported or Sealed ?

And your issue is that yours is not as loud ?

So output is your concern and not muffled?
Might need a different enclosure, it might be canceling out sound waves by poor design.

Can spare anymore room for a larger enclosure?

Might also need to break in the subwoofer.

Yes my bro the subwoofer is an active subwoofer that uses 300 rms and his sounds more cleaner and less drowned out. My neighbor helped me out and gave me some new rca cables which helped a little bit. I need to have my subwoofer output to +5 so that it will work. I can only really hear it when I have my stereo at almost full volume. When the volume is low I can’t hear it.
