Subwoofer and amp

I just recently bought a sundown sml-12 D4 and I need help on finding a good budget amp. I was wondering if I could use a taramps 1200x4 and bridge it so that I get the 600w rms. But that amp bridges at 4 ohm. Will it be a problem if I wire the amp at 2 ohms on that bridge channel. If it is a problem is there a 4 channel amp that bridges at 2 ohms?

With a single dual 4 ohms driver, you only have two wiring options, 2 ohms or 8 ohms. As for running that amp bridged, you cannot run it bridged below 4 ohms, it is not stable bridged at 2and will shut down or blow if pushed at all.

Plenty of budget amplifiers out there than will take care of that woofer. It's a 500 watt RMS woofer, so all you need something with roughly 750 watts at 2 ohms to take care of what you need.

This guy is 900 watts at 2 ohms and could be tuned down to around 750, so perfect and it's only $125.00

This think does 650 watts at 2 ohms and is only $86

This guy puts out 1200 watts at 1, 2 or 4 ohms and it's only $159

Here is another 650 watt (@2ohms) option and it's only $83.00

Thank you for the links. How would I turn the amp down if I were to get a higher rms one?
