subwoofer distortion help meee

dude wtff ive searched the internet forever trying to figure this stupid shit out and everything tells me to do the same shit that i have done before which changes nothing.

do you really think that could be a cause of this? cause theyll prob end up charging me to get them tested which im not about to pay for

alright well i could go there but im just saying like what are the chances that the electrical system on this car and my previous truck were both retarted?

no auto parts store has charged for an electrical test that I know of for over 20 yrs kiddo, I was in the industry for over 20 years just go do it! drive your car there and tell them you need a charging system test they will be happy to help, because if its bad they wanna sell you a part! jesus I have been very patient trying to educate you but you are very dense about this.

I am pretty dense on somethings my self but I do what is suggested by obvious knowledgeable people. you should learn from my mistakes and just do it now

well id say at like 50 volts at the channel it starts to get bad. i cant get the voltage to stay lower than that tho without turning the gains down so low that the subs are barely moving compared to what the should be. and at low voloumes it doesnt sound right eitther it has this wierd sound like almost a higher treble frequency with it. not sure ow to explain it just doesnt sound clean like it should

probably alternator whine (the "higher treble frequency") you should ask around and see if anyone on the forums is near you...that is if you want help....cant tell you whats wrong online...

im pretty sure its not altenator whine because it doesnt vary with rpm and it doesnt go away when my engine is off. could a ground loop be present in my system and should i try a ground loop isolator for my amp? also when i turn off any electrical component in my car, or the overhead light dims to off, noise comes through my subs. should i try to run all my grounds to the amp ground point?

50 volts - if that's the case you are over-driving that amp into some serious clipping. That is major distortion you are listening to.

Power = 50v * 50v / 2 Ohms

Power = 1250 watts

Look into getting a larger amplifier if it is not producing the output you expect it to.
