sub vs sub thread... again

Sorry for noobishnes, but I'll keep it short

Single Loud 15" sub, so I'm thinking of something like a FI BTL 15", on 2kw

vs

Say two SX 12's, or hdc312's on 2kw

Just looking for SPL, the lower it hits the better, so I'm thinking the 15" wins there, but cone area FTW, so I'm thinking the 12's be louder overall correct?

Edit:

Reason I'm going with those is because I've got a single 15" cuttout face for my box (4.5cubes at 34hz), and a 2kw amp, just wondering what'll get louder

Install dependent but if it were me I would put my money on the SX's or the HDC3's. In my testing I have found the SX to be a loud woofer for what it is and I liked it. As for the HDC3 I hear alot of good things about them and soon I will have a HDC3 10 to play with. Both good woofers IMO.
