Single cab truck subwoofer(s)

Ok. I drive a single cab Silverado and just want some suggestions into subs that work in small, most likely sealed boxes. I don't need to hit 150+ but I want something that will hit decently hard. I have no idea as to what I want to do. Everything will be built off what you guys suggest for me.

We need more info.
Price?

Power?

Size?
Sorry about that. I knew I was forgetting something lol.

Power and size are determined by you guys. I mean, if I can get an 8 on 300 watts to give me some bass, that's fine. But if it takes a 12 on 2000 that's fine too lol.

As far as price. Let's say 500 or so for sub(s) and amp.

Edit: Also, has to be behind the seat. Truck currently has a bench in it. Sometime during the summer I hope to do buckets and a console build, but I don't want to wait until then, so I need something for now.

I have a MMATS Pro-Cast 12" for $80 shipped to your door. It's in like new condition, suspension on it is still stiff. 500RMS/1000peak. Will do awesome in sealed or ported enclosures. I just need it out of my shop

I purchased the Sundownz SD1v2's simply because they will fit behind the rear seat in my truck. Maybe something to look into if you need shallow without buying the "shallow" woofers.

I had a single cab silverado '03 andd I ran 4 ED 8's off 600w it sounded good, not overly loud, but then it was 600w you cant expect to much. You will be looking for a sub that is under 6" in depth. You may be able to go deeper if you are a little more veritcally challenged, but for the seats to slide all the way back and recline, 6"is about it.

This man is a good 7 foot tall. If he can fit 4 8s without discomfort, so can OP.

Exactly I have found mounting depth to be the primary limiting factor when choosing subs for a regular cab truck. Less then 6" will be a good place to start. Most you can probably squeeze is about 3 cubes in total airspace behind the seat.

This thread is about a box for a 96' chevy regular cab, http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=275523&highlight=regular+cab

2 10's ported may give the most bass, otherwise you could probably do 2 12's sealed , unless of course your willing to give up some more leg room.

You wanna go behind the seat build, or console!?

If you wanna go behind the seat, w/ out doing a blow threw- id go w/ shallow mount subwoofer's.

Kenwood just came out with a really nice one, pioneer, kicker, clarion all make a nice shallow subwoofer along with rockford, im running one of the pioneer's in a 1.0^ft enclosure with a 3/4" port, and it sounds really good, i have about 500rms going to it, how ever its in a smaller truck than yours...

If you wanna go w/ the deeper subwoofers, i have seen some single cabs like yours with diamond audio D6 subs, ive heard alot of good stuff with them, and they sound really good with the amount of space you have to work with. You said you dont wanna go all loud and SPL type stuff, you just wanna get decently loud, so 1 or 2 12's i think would serve you well. Maybe even 2 10's w/ the right set up.

i was in the same situation as u about 2 months ago, but now i put some bucket seats, and 2 12's comps and a 1250wt power acoustik amp in my single cab toyota. this is a very cheap, very durable, and very loud setup in a single cap pickup.

i wish i could put my pics up.
