sub under seat suggestion

Hi guys, looking for some recommendation here...

I kind of ditched the idea of running 6 inch subs in my rear doors, as the rattling would be too much. So Im thinking about the posibility to install a sub under my seat.

I will be running a pair of dayton rs180 with the seas tweeters upfront, with a pair of alpine type r coaxs in the rear. All will be highpassed @ 80Hz.

This is what I came up with:

1. The space where subs can be mounted is 7" x 13", so I cannot fit a ten (or even an eight in there!).

2. The max enc. volume I can achieve is 0.271 cubic feet (not including speaker displacement).

3. Power = 200 rms @ 4 ohms (already have amp).

4. Budget =

What are my options here? - If this doesnt work at all, then I guess Im back to either running small 6 inch subs in my doors or.... going subless

1 7kv.2 with this box size would be perfect, with 200 rms....

or 2 7kv.2 (each with half their recommended box size) getting 100 rms each

which would you choose??

Considering the space you are willing to give up, I would say why bother. Instead focus on getting your front stage to dig deep by fitting some larger drivers in the doors with a lot of deadengin.;

I am installing lots of raamat, and will be putting in a couple of rs180....

so basically, you guys think its not worth the trouble right..

so.... after hearing lots of suggestions, basically I ditched the whole sub under seat thing...

I worked out that I can build a box in the trunk, put some grills on the subs, in a pretty unubstrusive way, directly behind the rear seat, like so:

l___________l

The box would be:

height 1 = 22"

height 2 = 5"

width = 34"

depth = 7"

according to my calculations, built with 0.75" MDF, that should bring me close to 1 cubic feet...

I could fit 1 or 2 tens in there, but they would need to be pretty shallow (not much more that 5"...)

I am looking for SQ ONLY... was thinking something along the lines of a pair of IDQ10s...

What do you guys think about this setup?? Any suggestions??
