Ive decided on my system...

Im going with two 15" kickers in a sealed box, this one to be exact:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5525_Kicker+Dual+15-+L7+Combo-+-2-+S15L7+Subs%2C+%2B+-1-+Box+%2B+-2-+L7+Grills.html

Powered by a Hifonics BXi2607D @ 1 ohm. This one to be exact:

Wiring will be 1/0 gauge Kicker. fused. with a 6 Farad Capacitor. This one to be exact:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5977_Power+Acoustik+PCNC-4.0F.html

and I am replacing my stock battery with a Yellow top. All of this is going in a Chevy Blazer S 10, 90 model. Big 3 upgrade may or may not be done.

My goal is to get as close to 2000 watts RMS as possible...not wanting to go far under or over. And I want to not have electrical problems with voltage drops...light dimming is ok and expected.

So my questions are: How loud will this be SPL? And How good will it be SQ wise? What decible range do you predict it will hit? Do you think Im gonna have electrical problems? If so how severe? How close will this be to 2000 watts true RMS? How many true RMS watts you think this is going to be running? Do you see any problems with this setup that need to be fixed?

thanks for help and suggestions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

no capacitor! put that towards a battery or wire
Well I already got a yellow top figured in there, and I already got 1/0 gauge wire... Next on the list of things to buy woulda been dynamat for me...I thought a cap would help with some of the electrical strain...

The reason I went sealed for the 15s is cuz that was the only option. I cant find a ported box for 2 square 15's anywhere. And even if I could I dont know the first thing about putting subs in em and wiring em to 1 ohm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

So this seemed like a simpler and safer choice for that. Besides. I did some research on Sealed vs Ported. And it doesnt look like I total loss. Seems like Ill lose SPL but gain SQ. =\ so thats fine.

Tons of people have told me Im paying to much. ...Ive looked into it though really. I want to find a loaded box thats rated at 2000 watts rms. This is definetly the cheapest Ive found for that...

But If anyone knows better amps for the same price range or wiring plz lemme know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

o dam im having my system installed friday thats when my box is going to be ready 2 15''s L7 ported both going to run off a hk4000d i still dont know how im gonna get it not to blow my subs but well see at the sound shop friday

it wont blow your subs b/c the MA4000D doesnt do near 4000w....

foote, i bet you could get two L7 12's louder ported than two L7 15's sealed.

*edit* didnt know the 15's were L7's but still, I think 12's ported > 15's sealed

dude 2 15 sealed for sq? sounds like a mistake...and really dont go with a prefab box its a joke...find someone on here to build u a nice one (id do it if u were closer) or build it urself....its a great llearning experience
