Sub to replace Kicker CVX 12" in a bandpass?

I've had my CVX in a 4th order for a few months now and want to run more power and something different sub and amp wise.

I want more SPL daily. I'm thinking of doing a 12" Xcon on a Sundown 3000D or should I pre-order the 3500D? This might be a retarded question, but would a nightshade 12" work in a bandpass? Just trying to get some advice before I buy new equipment and start to take all the plexi and what not out of my trunk to rebuild it to accommodate the new sub and and amp.

yes it will and do it well if its designed properly

but the 3k on a stock niteshade 12 is a nono...if u get the niteshade 12 with beefed up parts yea
