Sub that will destroy the lows, and have good SQ while doing it?

Just looking for one or two twelves that will get loud and low with around 1000 watts per sub. Why would I need to tune the IDMax so low, if they already don't have that loud output?
Cuse u said u wanted the lows //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif And its not just the max's, pretty much the lower u tune the lower the output on any box. Thats why u always see the frequency reponse graphs where lower tuning peaks way lower then higher (35-40hz) tuning. Also the reason why people who do SPL comps usually tune high (40-55hz area).

taxi's idea isn't bad either. A Max in a 1.5cft sealed is really sweet, hits note perfectly, u just lose a little output compared to the ported boxes. But u can send it 1,000 watts rms fine.

Of course it was like 40hz tuning and he was running about 1,500rms for a burp. But the max can get loud.

Phoenix Gold Cyclone's (12) will destroy the lows and don't need much power. They are a SQ sub will go down to 10Hz.

They have a couple of draw backs though, box size of atleast 3 ft^3, discontinued and relatively pricey used (400) and they are for only 50 Hz and below, they will need a good 8" midbass or maybe 8" sub for 50+ Hz.

BAd choice, while they do drop lower than any subwoofer available, they are ment to be ran with a conventional sub aswell because the lack of upper bass frequency. Furthermore they wont handle anywhere near 1000 watts each.

they are only rated for 300rms if I rememeber correctly
