Hypnotized doesn't really get that low, tune 30-33 hz would be fine for that, Hoods Run Down actually hits down to 15hz if i remeber right, so u would need to tune to probably 28hz for that. But then again u need a subwoofer that can actually play that low. I know the IDMax plays down to 10hz, and the IDQ's as well. I'd look into those (mainly the IDMax since u want some SPL). Problem is when u tune a box that low its output is alot lower then tuning it to the 30-35hz area. Of course I mean the notes higher then the tuning.Just looking for something that will get loud in a ported enclosure, and will hit all the lows on songs like "Hoods Run Down" and "Hypnotize." Not really looking to compete or anything, I just want a sub that will get loud when I play rap, and have good accuracy when I listen to bands like Trivium, Lamb of God, and Dragonforce.
Hey dont kid your self, i had a 12" 5200 also that was crazy off less than 2kwI don't really have the electrical system for the 5200, and how much would the XXX run me?
Depends on how loud ur looking for. Really I think its fine for a daily driver. 32-35hz would be better if ur looking to get a better output, but if ur looking at the IDMax and looking for a system that gets low in the first place then I would tune 28hz. Thing is the Max doesn't like taking more then around 900rms in a ported enclosure. So tuning around 32-35hz would be better? I've also heard that the IDMaxes don't really get that loud. Is that true?
