Sub Swap

Hey all im new here, so i thought id start with a pretty dumb question! I just bought a 2006 Cadillac CTS and it has the non bose sound system, but it has a decent 10'' sub already in the rear deck..

Is there any good subs on the market that can be swapped into this spot without the need of buying an amp and wiring? Iv set up 4-5 audio systems before but honestly, i just don't know the products like some of you guys do..

Hooking it up is easy if you have a pulse and eyes.

What is the impedence of the stock sub? Thats the first thing you want to match. Second, is it running in an enclosure or IB? Once you have those 2 things figured out, it will narrow down your list quite a bit.

IB right on the rear deck and 8 ohms i BELIVE, im at work right now so on brake id run out, but GM usually uses 8 ohms on newer cars.

If the subyou have now is 8 ohms, find an IB designed sub and get one with dual 4 ohm coils. You can wire that to 8 ohms.
