6.5 subwoofers

thinking of getting 2 6.5 subs to put behind the seats in a convertible. ill probably be making enclosures for both subs.

i have always been a big JL fan and noticed they sell a 6w3 now and it caught my eye., the only issue is that they are about $160 each.

i saw a lot of feedback when searching about the tang bands and how great they are. the price is very enticing and was wondering if anyone can give me some feedback regarding the JL's and Tang bands.

any other suggestions maybe?

You can get a pair of the Kicker CVT's on ebay for around 160... they are only 300w rms for the pair, tho, and I'm not sure how they sound... just a thought...

JL also has the 6w0...badass little dudes. Can be found for around 75 each

eD has some pretty neat 6.5's. I seen two in a T-line box and they looked like they got decently loud for their size.

how would you compare the 6w3's and the tang bands? big difference? i always liked the deepness and accuracy of the JL's that why i wanted to stick with JL but just thought id open up to other brands as well

You also might want to look at the TB 6x9 and 6x9 neo motored subs. Mounting height of a 6.5" cone area of an 8.

DD Has a 6.5 that can be used as a sub. Has to be ported.

I just sold four 6w0's to 310w6 on this site last week. I'm not sure if he was going to use all four or just two. Actually two of them have small scratches on the dust cap and he might be willing to let them go for pretty cheap. PM him and maybe you can catch a good deal on some JL's
